Maureen Johannigman

Advisor

Maureen serves as an Advisor at Strategic Philanthropy, Ltd.  She brings a deep knowledge of the inner workings of private foundations and non-profits to her role with the firm, particularly around strategy and governance.  Maureen has worked closely with organizations in Chicago, IL, Madison, WI and Washington, DC  where she has helped strengthen their operational efficiencies and measure their impact through financial analyses, programmatic assessments and community surveys. She has successfully facilitated collaborations between funders, organizations and local government officials to help achieve systemic change, particularly in the arts and culture, education, youth development and jobs training fields.  In addition she  brings a deep commitment to race and gender equity and affordable housing. 

Maureen has a B.A. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has written blogs for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business. Maureen has served on the Board of Directors of the YWCA in Madison, WI and on the Auxiliary Council of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago, IL.
